Our History
Key Enterprises, Inc. was founded in 1965 as a Pipeline/Utility Contractor, with a base of operations in West Texas. In 1983, Ted Stewart became President of Key Enterprises, Inc. Since that time, Key has grown and diversified its opportunities. Key Enterprises, Inc. has owned and operated Capital Trencher Corp, Hobas USA and West Texas Water System with Key/Capital marketing one of the largest, most diversified product line of rock trenchers in the world.
Key’s Austin office was established in 1985 and became the home office for operations. In 1994, the Central Texas Utility Division was formed and began working in Austin, San Antonio and through out the Central Texas region. Additionally, over the years, Key has worked internationally in countries including Mexico, Spain, Africa, Argentina, The Dominican Republic and Australia.
